Well, I read Twilight so many times, I decided to pick up another book. I wanted to stick with the vampire theme because I am just hooked on the immortal (maybe it’s because I’m dreading, literally, to turn 30).

I searched the internet and found the ‘True Blood’ novels. The first of the collection is ‘Dead Until Dark’. It only took me 2 days to read. Yeah, it didn’t capture my attention as much as Twilight. Although, I think now I seem to know where Stephenie Meyer got alot of her ideas from.

It was actually kinda stupid…it wasn’t as real as ‘Twilight’ could have been if the mythical world were really reality. It was more like, “Yeah o.k. like that could really happen.” But it is one of those books that you just have to finish. Not for kids either…it has alot of sex in it (which the author explained very well). I don’t see myself reading the remaining books that continue. Hopefully the HBO show is better.

It could just be that now that I have read ‘Twilight’, nothing will ever compare to it. It is by far the best book I have ever read. Even if Stephanie did get alot of her ideas from the True Blood novels, she did a better job on her books.

My next book is ‘Blue is for Nightmares’. I just can’t bare to read another vampire book. When I think of vampires, I just want to think of the perfect Edward Cullen.

It should be arriving in a few days so I will blog as soon as I finish it.
